and now we have the information highway
So maybe you thought that all those people in the past are in the past and there’s no more of them peskering about in your life, let bygones be bygones, eh? Wrong. Of course, wrong.
Now comes the information highway, filled with hopeful souls, entrepreuneurs, filled with people that you don’t know yet, knew before and wish you didn’t know. All the love filled faces of the enemies that you thought you left behind, and all the long lost loves with greater lives than you can dream to live, all there, shouting it out all over the world.
The interesting thing about that is that it changes something for personal dynamics. Either you learn to live with them or carry on as if they were not even there. And who cares anyway. The world is so so big. There are so so many fishies in the sea really. Who cares about that old friend that called you names in high school, really now forget that one. Or the guy who was in the apartment next door, and now you find him doing well and living it up. Can you connect back up and make that work. Doubt it.
Of all the people that misjudged you, or hated you, and now you get to give them one more chance to blog about you, or ignore you if you ping them. Basically it’s another opportunity to change the dynamic of that and live and let live. I like it.
i aint missing you at all
I was really enjoying this duet….
… I’m sending you this signal tonight
There’s a message I’m sending out like a telegraph to your soul…
Groundhog Day
I have to at least give an honorable mention to Groundhog day. This is one of those boring movies that is great for background noise. But there’s something more in this one. If you don’t look at it from a purely entertainment standpoint, you’ll possibly appreciate that the writer here had a thought about enlightenment. Day after day we go through our mundane lives, doing things just like we did yesterday. At some point you have to ask yourself why? Why keep on doing the same thing with the same result. If you don’t believe in heaven and you’d like your earthly gratification there is only one way to escape the doldrums of this life. After you reach 50 or so, you’ll understand why this is a great movie. First of all, how about a better way to do the same old thing. How bout making that a double and learning something new. If not for learning itself, how about your wondrous ego? Imagine the whole town just thinking that you’re a peach, a hell of a guy, or a wondrous person. You too can learn something from this very entertaining movie, like how to get a life. Works for me!
