While wandering about google maps, I decided to take a look a some desert properties for a change of scenary. I’ ve been informed suddently that global warming is upon us and living in the desert is a stupid idea. So I look up for global warming maps and low and behold I find an article bout this and start on a trek to read it all up. Well, according to Professor James Lovelock, the scientist who developed the Gaia principle (that Earth is a self-regulating, interconnected system), claimed that by the year 2100 the only place where humans will be able to survive will be the Arctic.

This is disturbing. In the first place we can barely phathom it. The only time that something even remotely similar has happened, something important changing and leaving our life, was back in the 90′s when it suddently occurred to me that everyone had saved their Barbies and I hadn’t. They were worth a fortune.

If I sound kurt, I’m sure in my children’s old age I’ll pay for it. But certainly they’ll look back fondly upon my silly words.

The fact is that this is astounding. Are we really going to go through living in a place like the Artic? because I find it more likely that when the time comes someone will have deveoloped solar powered air conditioned suits. (of course with no emmissions.).
